Suspected pirates have hijacjked a Sri-Lankan flagged fuel freighter off the Somalia coast. The ship apparently sent out a distress call after noticing it was being followed by two boats. Organisation Oceans Beyond Piracy says the ship was heading to the Somali port of Alula. That's apparently been comfirmed by pirates at the port. [TAKE VO] Piracy off the coast of Somalia has dropped significantly in the years since international navies began patrols in the Gulf of Aden. The hijacking of the Aris 13, if confirmed, would the first successful one since 2012 according to CGTN Africa.
